Puglia Family vacations

We are between the Murgia Barese and the beginning of Northern Salento, in the middle of two morphologically different areas, both reach in tipical placet and cultural heritage. This lucky geographical position allow to reach other places to see with short car movings.

• Alberobello, with its old town and its trulloes - very singular circular building with a conic roof made with dry stones -;

• Cathedral of Trani;

Puglia - Beauty spots

• The Valley of Itria. A whole valley sweetly wavy and spotted by orchards, vineyards, trulloes and farms where olive trees tower above;

Puglia - Land of caves

• Castellana Grotte is know for its caves filing down a few kilometres;
• Basilian Caves of San Biagio, in the nearby San Vito dei Normanni: frescos dated 1100 after Christ;
• Caves of Montevicoli, rich in stalactites and stalagmites;
• Zinzulusa grotte;

Puglia - Natural reserve

• Torre Guaceto - Natural state-owned reserve.It's a 200 hectares wide damp area of great environmental importance, located along the coast. It's also a place where migratory birds stay to breed;
• Coast sand dunes in Torre S.Leonardo.
  Regional Natural Reserve is a Mediterranean scrub area, with dunes and ponds.

Handicrafts in Puglia

• Grottaglie, town with a strong pottery tradition and a whole district, the "Quartiere delle Ceramiche", where for ages the local artisans have been working.

Puglia forever

Every place in our outskirts, even then smollest and unknown, hides small treasures that won't fail to pleasantly surprise you and make you exclaim ... I will never have thought ... surely I will be back ... and people always come back to Puglia.There are always dishes you didn't taste, dances you didn't go through, something you didn't have the time to see, a museum, a site, a feast, an event, something to discover ...
There is something, a feeling, that takes you inside when you remind the whiteness of the walls, the spaces, the places, the red soil, the dry-stone wall, the olive trees, the sweet wave-like landscape, dotted with small houses ...
And still today you seem to hear again, in the distance, sounds mixed to voices, that, in the country side, in the silence of a summer night, joined your dreams ... and then, you want that dream never end ... and so, just because holidays are not only sea ... you will come to "Northern Salento".
