Otranto: Puglia holidays
Itinerary: Ostuni, Lecce, Alimini lakes, Cave of
Zinzulusa.
Otranto is 46 Kms from Lecce, can be reached by car from Ostuni.
Otranto, in the Middle Age, was a main commercial port of the Byzantine empire.
The historical centre is characterized from paved lanes and is contained by
boundaries built after 1480.
We suggest to visit:

The Cathedral that hosts the famous mosaic pave of the Tree of Life and the
chapel of the martyrs.
The 800 four hundred martyrs slaughtered by the Turks in 1480on the hill of the
martyrs are here preserved.

the Moriggio, the Cave of Teradico and the Cave of Porrano.
