Lecce: Tourist Itinerary for holidays in Puglia
From Porta Napoli where the Obelisc and the arc of Carlo V are noticed, we get
into Palmieri Street.
After having admired the Church of Saint Maria della Porta, the Paisiello
Theatre and numerous noble buildings we comes in Duomo Square where the
Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace, the seminar and the Bell tower are.
Continuing for Sant'Oronzo Square we meet the Church of Saint Irene.
Arrived in the Square we can notice the obelisk of the Patron Saint, the Church
of St.Marco, the Sedile (the Seat), the Roman amphitheatre and the Church of
Saint Maria della Grazia.
The run continues for Templari Street that brings to the Basilica of Santa
Croce (Holy Cross), placed side by side width the Celestini Palace. In front of
it we can see the Adorno Palace.
Last "legs" of the run is the near Castromediano Square with Chiesa del Gesù
(Church of Jesus).
